What is electrolysis?

Electrolysis is the only FDA and TGA approved method of permanent hair removal. A fine probe is gently inserted into each hair follicle, delivering a small electric current that permanently destroys the hair root. Unlike laser, electrolysis works on all hair colours, all skin types, and all body areas — including light, blonde, grey and red hair that laser cannot treat.

Most clients experience a mild warmth or tingling sensation. We use the most refined technique available to minimise discomfort. Sensitivity varies by area and individual.
Hair grows in cycles, so multiple sessions are needed to treat each follicle in its active growth phase. Most areas require 8–16 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart. We'll give you a personalised estimate at your consultation.

Laser uses light to target pigment and cannot treat light, blonde, grey or red hair. Electrolysis uses electrical current directly in the follicle and permanently destroys the root regardless of hair colour or skin type.
Let hair grow for 3–5 days before your appointment so there is enough length to treat. Avoid caffeine on the day as it can increase sensitivity. Come with clean skin, no moisturiser or makeup on the treatment area.
Yes. Electrolysis is the only hair removal method recognised as truly permanent by the FDA and TGA. Once a follicle is destroyed it cannot regrow hair.
